The
Maud Village Trust was formed from the Community Association
in order to acquire and develop the redundant cattle market,
in the centre of the Village of Maud.
The Trust purchased the redundant cattle mart, from Aberdeen
Northern Marts, with a 95% grant from the Scottish Land Fund.
It is the intention of the Maud Village Trust Management Team
to develop the redundant cattle market, for the benefit of the
Maud and District Community.
The Maud Mart was once the
largest one day fat stock market in the whole of Britain, the
Maud Village Trust purchased the site in 2002 and the above
drawing shows part of the proposed development to the site.
