The development of the Final Phase of “Putting the Heart Back into Maud,” is now proceeding at pace.

It has taken a little longer than anticipated due to unforeseen problems e.g drainage, levelling, redesign of entrance bell and paths.

The contractor is, however progressing well and it will not be too long now before the surfacing will commence.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience it is causing, but hope that the end product will be worth all the disruption.

The development is being funded by the Leader Fund, Postcode Lottery, Scottish Natural Heritage, Aberdeenshire Council

and funds from the Trust. 

Once completed their will be two play areas, one for the small children and one for the young and young at heart.

There will be gardens with plants, trees and shrubs to encourage wild life such as birds, bees, butterflies and insects.

When the landscaping and garden lay out is completed it is hoped that the Trust can work with the Maud School to cultivate

part of the garden area with the help of the children.  The following shows where we are at present time:
